Commitment to Sustainability

The world is constantly evolving and artience Toyo Ink do brasil has been following this development since it entered the ink market in 1896 in Japan.

The printing industry also plays a key role when it comes to environmentally friendly products. First, with recycled paper, then with FSC certification and currently with the production of vegetable oil-based printing inks.
Artience Toyo Ink Brasil was one of the first to produce conventional inks, with a fully sustainable manufacturing process. Today, we have products based on vegetable oils and also low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) inks. This means that the more you use innovative products, the more you contribute to preserving the environment.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AND POSITIVE IMPACT

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AND POSITIVE IMPACT
Toyo Ink Brasil reaffirms its commitment to the environment through sustainable practices such as responsible waste management, the adoption of renewable energy, and initiatives for planting native tree saplings to offset CO2 emissions. We are continuously innovating and elevating our ESG standards to promote a lasting positive impact on society and the environment.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
We take full responsibility for managing hazardous waste generated in our operations, establishing partnerships with specialized companies for proper collection and disposal in compliance with current environmental regulations. This commitment not only ensures legal compliance but also reinforces environmental responsibility and organizational sustainability.
Regarding Class II B solid waste, we adopt strict segregation practices and exclusive recycling processes, contributing to the circular economy and minimizing environmental impact. We ensure that each stage of the process aligns with environmental regulations, aiming for sustainable benefits for both the environment and the community.

RENEWABLE ENERGY
Since 2017, Toyo Ink Brasil has been committed to sustainability by acquiring renewable energy through the free market. Since 2019, our initiative has generated annual national certificates that verify the amount of renewable energy purchased and the significant reduction of CO2 emissions into the environment.
In 2025, we achieved international certification, which will validate the traceability of the energy source purchased through the free market. This practice not only strengthens our environmental commitment but also contributes to a more sustainable future, where every decision is guided by environmental responsibility and the preservation of natural resources.

DECARBONIZATION
The artience Group aims to reduce carbon emissions by 30% by 2030, implementing this goal across all its global branches.
As a decarbonization initiative, we promote the planting of native tree saplings to capture atmospheric carbon, contributing to environmental preservation and local biodiversity. Energy efficiency is enhanced through regular equipment maintenance and the adoption of more efficient technologies to reduce energy waste.
The company is also committed to purchasing energy from renewable sources to replace fossil fuel-based energy and decrease its carbon footprint.
Within our operations, we recycle paper, cardboard, and plastic waste, directly contributing to CO₂ emission reduction. Recycling these materials reduces the need for new natural resources, minimizing the environmental impact of raw material extraction and processing. In addition, recycling consumes less energy than producing new materials, resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions. This effort also helps prevent waste from being sent to landfills, educing methane emissions. Through these initiatives, we promote more sustainable operations aligned with our decarbonization goals. Recycling is a fundamental part of our commitment to environmental preservation and carbon footprint reduction.
These actions aim not only to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also to strengthen the culture of sustainability within the company. The project seeks to meet global climate change mitigation targets and enhance Toyo Ink Brasil reputation as an environmentally responsible company.
